Polyacetal [POM]

The acetal resin is a semi-crystalline polymer with unique properties such as very specific mechanical resistance, the rigidity, the good sliding properties and wear resistance, finally
has a great workability. There is no water absorption and does not undergo variation in the size and stability because of external agents. It has a chemical resistance to weak acids, alkalis, organic
solvents, benzene, oil and alcohol. It has no contraindications for use in food.  It has a low resistance to abrasion, especially in dirty and dusty environments, not self – extinguishing, little resistant to strong acids such as sulfuric acid, is not resistant to UV radiation, the effect of UV radiation with oxidation It leads to the alteration of the original color.

Applications:
– Mechanical: precision machine parts, bearing seats, gears, hinges, electric insulators, components against or sliding components.
– Chemical: resistant to weak acids, alkalis, organic solvents and benzene, oil or alcohol.
– Thermal: Maximum performance in temperatures ranging between 60°C – 80°C.
– Electrical: Non-hygroscopic, used as an insulator for electrical purposes.
